Only The Hulk himself could do better.
In the dying seconds of last night’s Predators and Red Wings game, Nashville captain Shea Weber took it upon himself to grab the head of Red Wings winger Henrik Zetterberg, and smash it into the glass.
Not once, but twice.
Upon further review, fans will notice that Weber used one hand to smack his head against the glass, then used both hands to smash it a second time.
Predator fans erupted when the incident happened, and speculation on whether or not Weber will be suspended for his actions has sprung across major media outlets.
So, it’s time to let our readers make the call. Should Weber be suspended, or should he get the all-star treatment and pick up a slap on the wrist? After all, this is the playoffs. It would be a shame if one of Nashville’s biggest names missed out on the post-season. Think of the ticket sales people; think of the television ratings!
With the discussion of head shots in hockey at an all-time high, suspensions have been handed out for much less. So what’s more dangerous – an elbow to the head, or a Shea Weber Hulk smash?
How many games would you hand Weber? If you had the power to make the call, what would you do?
You’re insight is needed. Let us know.
Update: Weber was fined for $2,500 for his actions. A nice slap on the wrist.
